U.S. Marine Corps Gunnery Sgt. Michael Newell, a small-ensemble leader with the 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing (MAW) Band, plays the saxophone during the 34th Annual Vincent Vizzo Columbus Day Concert at Bridgeport, Connecticut, Oct. 6, 2023. Marines with the 2nd MAW Band performed during the 34th Annual Vincent Vizzo Columbus Day Concert to strengthen community relationships and reaffirm history, customs, and traditions representative of the United States Marine Corps to those in attendance. 2nd MAW is the aviation combat element of II Marine Expeditionary Force.
