Marine Forces Reserve Band visits Tennessee State University

The U.S. Marine Forces Reserve Band performed at Tennessee State University at the Poag Auditorium, Monday, Sept. 11, 2023. The U.S. Marine Forces Reserve Band was established in 1978, and is one of the 10 Marine Corps field bands that comprises active-duty Marines stationed aboard the Marine Corps Support Facility New Orleans. The band provides musical support for military ceremonies and other official functions, Marine Corps community relation events, and Marine Corps personnel procurement programs.

On the morning of August 11, 2023, an atmosphere of reverence enveloped the historic grounds of Marine Barracks, Washington, D.C., as Marines conducted final rehearsals and preparations for the renowned, staff non-commissioned officer-led Friday Evening Parade.
