Master Sgt. Koscheski currently serves as the instrument repair technician of the 2nd Marine Division Band. In this capacity he inspects, maintains, and repairs musical equipment. Master Sgt. Koscheski also manages the band’s supply, safety, and fiscal sections.
Master Sgt. Koscheski holds a Diploma in Band Instrument Repair from Minnesota State College Southeast where he studied under John Huth, Greg Beckwith and Lucas Pemberton.
Master Sgt. Koscheski enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps in 2003 and completed Recruit Training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, California and Marine Combat Training at Camp Pendleton, California. He completed the Basic Music Course in 2004 at the Armed Forces School of Music in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
Master Sgt. Koscheski served as a trumpet instrumentalist in the following Fleet Marine Bands: U.S. Marine Forces Pacific Band (2004-2007), 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing Band (2007-2011) Marine Forces Reserve Band (2011-2014). As do all fleet Marine musicians, Master Sgt. Koscheski served in a variety of music, collateral duty, and leadership roles, to include Platoon leadership.
Master Sgt. Koscheski deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (2010). Master Sgt. Koscheski is a combat marksmanship coach and ground safety manager.
Master Sgt. Koscheski was promoted to his current rank in 2024 and attended the band instrument repair program at Minnesota State College Southeast in Red Wing, Minnesota, earning a Diploma with Honors in 2015. He served as the instrument repair technician of the following Fleet Marine Bands: Parris Island Marine Band (2015-2019), 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing Band (2019-2022), and the U.S. Marine Forces Reserve Band (2022-2025).
Master Sgt. Koscheski is a graduate of the Advanced School (2020). His awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (2nd award), and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal.
