Enlisted Conductor
Sergeant Anamaria Martinez

Sergeant Anamaria Martinez enlisted into the Marine Corps in September 2018. She attended recruit training at Parris Island, South Carolina and Marine Combat Training in Camp Geiger, North Carolina. Upon graduation, she attended the Basic Musicians Course at the Naval School of Music in Norfolk, Virginia.

Lance Corporal Martinez reported to the 3d Marine Aircraft Wing Band in May 2019 where she served as a Flute Instrumentalist, Section Leader, Library Clerk, Administrative Clerk, Lighting Engineer, Sound Engineer, and Squad Leader. In May 2021, she attended the Live Production Technician Course (LPTC) at the Naval School of Music in Norfolk, Virginia. During her time with the 3d Marine Aircraft Wing Band, she was promoted to Corporal (meritoriously) and Sergeant.

In September 2022, Sergeant Martinez reported to the Marine Corps Forces Pacific Band where she served as the Woodwind Commander, Platoon Guide, Martial Arts Instructor, Sound Reinforcement NCOIC, Assistant Production Manager and Assistant Enlisted Conductor. Sergeant Martinez served as the Sound Engineer for the unit’s Popular Music Group ‘Acropolis’ in many locations such as New Zealand, Saipan, and Guam. She currently serves as the Enlisted Conductor for the Marine Corps Forces Pacific Band.

Prior to enlisting in the Marine Corps, Sergeant Martinez graduated from the Florida International University, where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Music Performance.
