Drum Major
Staff Sergeant Jason Homard

Staff Sergeant Jason M. Homard enlisted into the Marine Corps in January 2012. He attended recruit training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego and Marine Combat Training in Camp Pendleton, California. Upon graduation, he attended the Basic Music Course at the Naval School of Music in Norfolk, Virginia.
 
Lance Corporal Homard reported to the 2d Marine Aircraft Wing Band in October 2012 where he served as a Horn Instrumentalist for and librarian clerk. During his time there, he was promoted to the rank of Corporal.
 
In March 2014, Corporal Homard reported to the Quantico Marine Corps Band where he served as the Horn Section Leader, Operations NCO and Training NCO. He was promoted to the rank of Sergeant.
 
In April 2018, after graduating from the Basic Recruiters Course and earning an additional military occupational specialty 8411, Sergeant Homard reported to Recruiting Station Des Moines, 9th Marine Corps Recruiting District. There he served as a Canvasing Recruiter for Recruiting Sub-Station Des Moines, and the SNCOIC for Recruiting Sub-Station Sioux City. There he was promoted to his current rank of Staff Sergeant.
 
Staff Sergeant Homard reported to the 3d Marine Aircraft Wing Band in May 2021 where he served as the Assistant Drum Major and responsible for the Administration and Operation sections. In addition to these duties, he was also filled a role as a UPC for the battalion.
 
In September of 2023, Staff Sergeant Homard reported to the Naval School of Music at Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek – Fort Story, VA for the Unit Leader’s Course. Upon completion he reported to the Marine Corps Forces Pacific Band. He was officially selected for the billet of Drum Major in July 2024.
 
Staff Sergeant Homard holds degrees in Music Education and Music Performance from Waldorf University in Forrest City, IA.
