Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island Band
Master Sergeant Bryan R. Williams
Master Sergeant Williams is a native of Lawrenceville, Georgia and reported to Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, South Carolina in July 2006 for Recruit Training followed by Marine Combat Training at Camp Geiger, North Carolina. He then attended the Basic Music Course at the Naval School of Music in Norfolk, VA and earned his primary MOS of 5524, Musician.

In June 2007, LCpl Williams reported to the Albany Marine Band at Marine Corps Logistics Base Albany, Georgia where he served as an instrumentalist, administration chief, Assistant Drum Major, and at all levels of platoon leadership. In 2009, Cpl Williams deployed as an individual augment with Logistics Command Forward at Camp Al-Taqaddum, Iraq in support of retrograde operations and was promoted to Sergeant in October 2009.

In October 2010, Sgt Williams reported to the Quantico Marine Corps Band aboard Marine Corps Base Quantico, VA where he served as an instrumentalist, administration chief, Assistant Drum Major, Transportation NCOIC, Corporal’s Course instructor, and at various levels of platoon leadership.

In October 2012, Sgt Williams reported to Drill Instructor School at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, South Carolina for training with Class 1-13. Upon graduation, Sgt Williams was assigned to Hotel Company, 2nd Recruit Training Battalion and served as a Drill Instructor, Experienced Drill Instructor, Senior Drill Instructor, and Marine Combat Instructor of Water Survival. He was promoted to Staff Sergeant in December 2014.

After completing his tour at MCRD Parris Island in February 2016, SSgt Williams was assigned to Marine Band San Diego aboard Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, CA where he served as Platoon Sergeant, Corporal’s Course Instructor, Assistant Drum Major and Drum Major.

In September 2018, SSgt Williams reported to the Naval School of Music to attend the Unit Leader Course and was promoted to Gunnery Sergeant in October 2018. Upon graduation in May 2019, GySgt Williams was selected for PMOS 5521, Ensemble Leader, and reported to Camp Lejeune, North Carolina for service as the 2d Marine Division Band Drum Major. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business in 2021.

In July 2022, GySgt Williams reported to Communications Directorate, Headquarters Marine Corps where he served as the Instrumentalist Assignments / Operations Chief for the Music occupational field and was promoted to Master Sergeant in June 2024. 

MSgt Williams reported to the Parris Island Marine Band in June 2024 and currently serves as the Enlisted Bandleader.
