Gunnery Sergeant Timothy P. Meulemans
Gunnery Sergeant Timothy P. Meulemans enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps and attended Recruit Training in August 2006 at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, California. Upon graduation from Recruit Training, he attended the Naval School of Music Basic Course in Norfolk, Virginia. In June 2007, Gunnery Sergeant Meulemans was stationed at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego as a clarinet instrumentalist. In July 2010, Gunnery Sergeant Meulemans executed orders to the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing Band at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, San Diego, CA. In October 2013, he was assigned to the Marine Forces Reserve Band in New Orleans, LA.
In July 2016, Gunnery Sergeant Meulemans attended Recruiter School, and in October 2016 he transferred to Recruiting Station Twin Cities in St. Paul, MN for duty as a production recruiter. In June 2017, he was assigned to serve as the Marine Liaison at the Military Entrance Processing Station in Sioux Falls, SD. In November of 2019, Gunnery Sergeant Meulemans transitioned to the Quantico Marine Corps Band. During this time, he was selected as Instrument Repair Technician and began formal training at Minnesota State College Southeast in Red Wing, MN. Upon graduating with a diploma in band instrument repair, Gunnery Sergeant Meulemans was assigned to the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing Band in June 2022 and currently serves at the Instrument Repair Technician.
Gunnery Sergeant Meulemans’ awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (4th award), Navy Unit Commendation, Good Conduct Medal (5th Award), National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Marine Corps Recruiting Campaign Ribbon, Rifle Expert (10th award), and Pistol Expert (4th award).
