Staff Sergeant Egan is currently serving as the Acting Production Manager of the 3d Marine Aircraft Wing Band.
Born in Fort Myers, Florida, Staff Sergeant Egan graduated Cypress Lake High School in 2011, and stepped on the yellow footprints at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island in July of 2013. After graduating Recruit Training, SSgt Egan completed Marine Combat Training, and then attended the Naval School of Music for 6 months, earning a Basic Musician’s Course graduation certificate as a Guitar Instrumentalist.
Upon graduating the Naval School of Music, Staff Sergeant Egan was stationed with the 3d Marine Aircraft Wing Band from 2014 to 2017, in San Diego California at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, where he performed his duties as a Guitar Instrumentalist, and was awarded a Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal for his duties.
Staff Sergeant Egan then moved to Marine Corps Base Quantico, Virginia in 2017, where he served as a Guitar Instrumentalist with the Quantico Marine Corps Band. After some time, Staff Sergeant Egan was afforded the opportunity to augment Officer Candidates School, and the Quantico Ceremonial Platoon for the rest of his tour. Staff Sergeant Egan was awarded a second Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal for his duties at Quantico’s Ceremonial Platoon.
In 2021, Staff Sergeant Egan was transferred to 3d Marine Aircraft Wing Band as a Guitar Instrumentalist. Staff Sergeant Egan was sent to the Live Production Technician’s Course at the Naval School of Music in July 2023 where he graduated top of his class. Staff Sergeant Egan serves as the Acting Production Manager of the 3d Marine Aircraft Wing Band, as well as a Guitar Instrumentalist.
