Sergeant Vaughan is currently serving as the Acting Production Manager of the 3d Marine Aircraft Wing Band.
Born in Blue Springs, Missouri, Sergeant Vaughan graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from Truman State University in May of 2018, and stepped on the yellow footprints at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego in August of 2018. After graduating Recruit training, Sergeant Vaughan completed Marine Combat training, and then reported directly to the Marine Forces Pacific Band in Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii, in December of 2018.
Sergeant Vaughan was stationed with the Marine Forces Pacific Band from 2018 to 2022 and performed his duties as a Trombone Instrumentalist during his first enlistment.
Sergeant Vaughan then moved to Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, San Diego, California, in April of 2022, where he served as a Trombone Instrumentalist with the 3d Marine Aircraft Wing Band. In June of 2022, Sergeant Vaughan was sent to the Live Production Technician’s Course at the Naval School of Music in Norfolk, Virginia, where he graduated as the Honor Graduate.
Sergeant Vaughan serves as the Acting Production Manager of the 3d Marine Aircraft Wing Band, as well as a Trombone Instrumentalist.
Sergeant Vaughan’s awards and decorations include the Joint Service Achievement Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, Good Conduct Medal (2nd Award), National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Medal.
