Production Manager
Staff Sergeant Jonathan N. Soeung
Staff Sergeant Soeung was born in Fontana, California. He enlisted in the Marine Corps in April 2013 and attended Recruit Training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, San Diego, CA. Upon graduating as the Company Honor Graduate, LCpl Soeung completed Marine Combat Training at the School of Infantry, Camp Pendleton, CA. He then reported to the Naval School of Music, Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek Fort Story, Virginia Beach, VA where he completed basic Musician’s Course.
 
In June 2014, LCpl Soeung was transferred to MCRD Parris Island to serve as Guitar Instrumentalist. During this tour, he was promoted to Corporal and Sergeant, and served as the unit’s Sound Reinforcement NCOIC and Martial Arts Instructor. During his tour, he completed the Sound Reinforcement technician’s course at the Naval School of Music, Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek Fort Story, Virginia Beach, VA.
 
In June 2017, Sergeant Soeung received orders to Marine Forces Pacific Band Kaneohe Bay, HI, where he filled the billet Assistant Small Ensemble Leader, Platoon Sergeant, Rock Band Ensemble Leader, Martial Arts Instructor, and Combat Marksmanship Coach. In 2019, Sgt Soeung individually augmented with Navy Band Pearl Harbor in support of Pacific Partnership 2019 where he served as Sound Reinforcement NCOIC and Embarkation NCOIC.
 
In December 2020, Staff Sergeant Soeung reported to Headquarters Battalion, 1st Marine Division to serve as Guitar Instrumentalist, where he was promoted to his current rank. He is currently serving as the Production Manager for the 1st Marine Division Band.
 
Staff Sergeant Soeung’s personal decorations include Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, and the Good Conduct Medal, bronze star in lieu of third award.
