Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island Band
Staff Sergeant Steven M. Frigiola
SSgt Frigiola serves as the Production Manager in the Parris Island Marine Band and has performed in this capacity since February of 2025.
Staff Sergeant Frigiola is a native of Brodheadsville, Pennsylvania and reported to Recruit Depot Parris Island, South Carolina in May 2009 for Recruit Training followed by Marine Combat Training at Camp Geiger, North Carolina. He then attended the basic Music Course at the Naval School of Music in Virginia Beach, Virginia and earned his primary MOS of 5524, Musician as an electric bass instrumentalist.
In April 2010, LCpl Frigiola reported to the Albany Marine Band at Marine Corps Logistics Base Albany, Georgia where he served as an instrumentalist and sound technician. He was promoted to Corporal in 2011.
In March 2012, Cpl Frigiola reported to the Quantico Marine Band at Marine Corps Base Quantico, Virginia where he served as an instrumentalist and sound technician.
In May of 2013, Cpl Frigiola reported to the 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing Band at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, North Carolina where he served as an instrumentalist, command physical training representative, bus driver, administration chief, sound Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge, and platoon sergeant. He was promoted to Sergeant in 2013.
In July of 2016, Sgt Frigiola reported to the III Marine Expeditionary Force Band Okinawa, Japan where he served as an instrumentalist, command physical training representative, production chief, and platoon sergeant. He was promoted to Staff Sergeant in 2017.
In December 2020, SSgt Frigiola reported to the Naval School of Music Virginia Beach, Virginia where he served as a formal school instructor, command physical training representative, career planner, curriculum developer, and course chief. He taught, managed, and developed curriculum in support of the Live Production Technician Course and Advanced Musician Course. He was selected for PMOS 5522, Small Ensemble Leader in March 2023 and maintained the PMOS 5522 through its development and adaptation into Production Manager.
SSgt Frigiola reported to the Parris Island Marine Band in January 2025 and currently serves as the Production Manager.
SSgt Frigiola personal awards include Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (2nd award), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (2nd award), Good Conduct Medal (5th award), National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, and Sea Service Deployment Ribbon (4th award).
