Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island Band
Staff Sergeant Tiffany A. Woda

SSgt Woda currently serves as Drum Major in the Parris Island Marine Band. She has performed in this capacity since 2024.

SSgt Woda is a native of Haughton, LA. She enlisted in the Marine Corps in October of 2014 and attended Recruit Training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, Marine Combat Training, then the Basic Musician’s Course at the Naval School of Music in Virginia Beach, Virginia. 

In August of 2015, LCpl Woda was assigned to the Parris Island Marine Band, SC where she served as a Trumpet Instrumentalist. Cpl Woda was promoted in February of 2016 and was the recipient of the “Gung-Ho” award for Corporal’s Course 092-16. In September of 2017, she was promoted to the rank of Sergeant and completed the Sound Reinforcement Technician Course at the Naval School of Music. 

In June 2019, Sgt Woda reported to Marine Corps Base Quantico.  In August of 2021 Sgt Woda participated in Operations Allies Welcome for continued support in Operation Allies Welcome.

In August 2021, Sgt Woda reported to the Unit Leader Course at the Naval School of Music. In November of 2021, SSgt Woda was promoted to her current rank. 

Upon graduation from the Unit Leader Course, SSgt Woda reported back to the Parris Island Marine Band to serve as Trumpet Instrumentalist, Enlisted Conductor, Production Manager, and Acting Drum Major. During her time here, she has participated in local, national, and international performances to include supporting the Naval Infantry Leaders Symposium-Africa 22 (NILS-A) in Senegal.

SSgt Woda possesses a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts with a concentration in Music Education from Louisiana Tech University. 

SSgt Woda’s awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, the Armed Forces Service Medal, the Humanitarian Service Medal, Good Conduct (2nd award), National Defense Service Medal and Global War on Terrorism Medal.
