Chief Warrant Officer 2 Nathan Doggett is currently serving as the operations officer, Marine Corps Fleet Music, where he oversees service-level strategic music outreach of the Marine Corps fleet bands on behalf of the Director of Communication, Communication Directorate, Headquarters Marine Corps.
Chief Warrant Officer 2 Doggett holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from Western Illinois University and a Master of Arts in Administration from the University of Kentucky.
Chief Warrant Officer 2 Doggett enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps in 2013 and completed Recruit Training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, California, and Marine Combat Training at Camp Pendleton, California. He completed the Basic Music Course in 2014 at the Naval School of Music in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
Chief Warrant Officer 2 Doggett served as a tuba instrumentalist in the following fleet Marine band: III Marine Expeditionary Force Band (2014-2016). As do all fleet Marine musicians, Chief Warrant Officer 2 Doggett served in a variety of musical ensembles, collateral duty, and leadership roles, to include platoon leadership.
Chief Warrant Officer 2 Doggett served as an instructor at the Naval School of Music (2018-2022).
Chief Warrant Officer 2 Doggett was appointed a warrant officer and graduated from The Basic School in 2023 and served as the director of the 2d Marine Aircraft Wing Band (2023-2025).
Chief Warrant Officer 2 Doggett attended the Unit Leader Course (2017). His awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (3rd award), and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (3rd award).
