Enlisted Conductor
Gunnery Sergeant Anna Henrickson
Gunnery Sergeant Anna K. Henrickson hails from Winchester Center, Connecticut and reported to Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, South Carolina in May 2006 for recruit training. After graduating, GySgt Henrickson attended Marine Combat Training at Camp Geiger, North Carolina. She then reported to the Naval School of Music in Norfolk, Virginia and graduated early for accelerated completion of all classes.
            In February 2007, GySgt Henrickson reported to Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, South Carolina for duty as a Flute/Piccolo Instrumentalist. In August 2008, GySgt Henrickson was meritoriously promoted to the rank of Sergeant. During her time with the Parris Island Marine Band, GySgt Henrickson served as Flute Section Leader, Training NCOIC, Public Affairs NCOIC, Platoon Sergeant, and Assistant Enlisted Conductor.
            In January 2010, GySgt Henrickson reported for duty with the Marine Forces Pacific Band in Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii. GySgt Henrickson was selected to attend Marine Corps Combat Marksmanship Course and was awarded the additional MOS of 0933. GySgt Henrickson served as Flute Instrumentalist, Public Affairs NCOIC, Library SNCOIC, and Assistant Enlisted Conductor.
            Following duty with the Marine Forces Pacific Band, GySgt Henrickson was transferred to the Second Marine Aircraft Wing Band, Cherry Point, North Carolina in May 2014. She served as the Assistant Enlisted Conductor and Acting Small Ensemble Leader until she was selected to attend the Unit Leader Course in 2016.
            In January 2017, GySgt Henrickson reported back to the Naval School of Music to attend the Unit Leader Course where she learned new skills that further enhanced her ability to lead musical ensembles.
            Upon completion of the Unit Leader Course in August 2017, GySgt Henrickson reported to the Parris Island Marine Band for duty as Flute Instrumentalist. In March 2018, GySgt Henrickson was selected to become an Enlisted Conductor and earned the MOS of 5519. While stationed with the Parris Island Marine Band, GySgt Henrickson served as Woodwind Commander, Platoon Sergeant, and Enlisted Conductor.
            In September 2019, GySgt Henrickson reported to Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, to serve as the  Enlisted Conductor of the 2nd Marine Division Band. During her time at 2nd Marine Division she led the band in multiple performances throughout the U.S. and Paris, France.
 
            In August of 2022, GySgt Henrickson reported to Quantico, Virginia to serve in her current billet as Enlisted Conductor of the Quantico Marine Corps Band.
GySgt Henrickson’s personal awards include the Navy Commendation Medal (3rd Award), The Navy Achievement Medal, the Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal (5th Award).
