Gunnery Sergeant Kyle A. Elliott
Instrument Repair Technician
U.S. Marine Corps Forces Reserve Band

Gunnery Sgt. Kyle Elliott currently serves as the instrument repair technician of the U.S. Marine Corps Forces Reserve Band. In this capacity he inspects, maintains, and repairs musical equipment.  Gunnery Sgt. Elliott also manages the band’s supply, safety, and fiscal sections.

Gunnery Sgt. Elliott holds a Bachelor of Science in Business from the University of Arkansas Grantham.

Gunnery Sgt. Elliott enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps in 2009 and completed Recruit Training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, California and Marine Combat Training at Camp Pendleton, California. He completed the Basic Music Course in 2010 at the Naval School of Music in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Gunnery Sgt. Elliott served as a clarinet instrumentalist in the following fleet Marine bands: Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center Band (2010-2012); 1st Marine Division Band (2012-2016); and the U.S. Marine Corps Forces Pacific Band (2019-2021). As do all Fleet Marine musicians, Gunnery Sgt. Elliott served in a variety of music, collateral duty, and leadership roles, to include platoon leadership.

From 2016-2019, Gunnery Sgt. Elliott served as a recruiter at Recruiting Station Albuquerque.

Gunnery Sgt. Elliott was promoted to his current rank in 2023 and attended the band instrument repair program at Minnesota State College Southeast in Red Wing, Minnesota, earning diploma with honors in 2022. He served as the instrument repair technician of the following fleet Marine band: U.S. Marine Corps Forces Pacific Band (2022-2025).

His awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, the Joint Service Achievement Medal, and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal.
