Bandmaster
Master Sergeant Stephen L. Davis

Master Sergeant Davis began his military career upon enlistment into the Marine Corps in 2000.  Since his graduation of Marine Corps Recruit Training and subsequently the Armed Forces School of Music the same year, he has served in seven Marine Corps bands throughout the eastern United States and Hawaii.

Starting as a Basic Musician, he has held or acted in the billets of Instrumentalist, Squad Leader, Platoon Sergeant, Enlisted Conductor, Bandmaster, and Officer in Charge.

In 2007, he volunteered for assignment to the National Capital Region Task Force and deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in the Diyala and Al-Anbar provinces of Iraq.

Master Sergeant Davis’ personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with a gold star in lieu of second award, the Army Commendation Medal, and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal.
